Broom! Broom!
Flying Heart Productions has received assistance from ARTSWA via a new project development grant for further creative development and production of its new project "Broom! Broom!" (formerly known as The Broom Guy)
The show features two lowly cleaners who work day in and day out cleaning the world’s mess. Life is a dull routine full of boring events until they meet; through their imagination they are teleported to a vibrant and inspired world full of extraordinary opportunities.
The show aims to address the issues of friendship, self-esteem, individuality and the role of creativity as an essential life tool.
This desire is expressed through our own special brand of madcap comedy, circus skills, mime, live music, shadow puppetry and much more.
Flying Heart Productions is creating The Broom Guy in the hope of inspiring people to tap into their own creativity and, potentially, to make inspired life choices.
The project is self-devised with directorial assistance from Sanjiva Margio and Karen Hethy.
The development and production will happen in October 2008 and premiered late 2008 or early 2009, a venue is yet to be announced.
